Employment & Training
After learning and understanding HIPAA each new employee is sent through extensive training that begins at our Corporate Training Facility. At this stage of the training they learn more about CopyInc and what we do as a business to provide exceptional service to each facility. They are then trained on release of information in great depth. Before they can advance to their specified location they are put though tests to validate their training. These tests allow us to confirm that each employee understands how to enforce HIPAA guidelines, knows the difference between request types (i.e. TPO, authorization, and subpoena requests), and has a basic understanding how to process each medical records request.
Hands on Training
Once we are sure they have the needed knowledge and basic training they are moved to their specified location to continue their training where they learn the ins and outs of the facility and specific facility guidelines and processing requirements. They are put through in-depth training which is handled by the account manager. The account manager is responsible for training and reviewing all of the new employees work until they are proficient at all of the job tasks.
Each and every account has an account manager this is someone who is extremely knowledgeable about CopyInc, our policies and procedures, about HIPAA standards, and about the facility. They are in charge of the training of new employees and also managing assigned facility.
